Taekwondo

was formed with a vision of bringing traditional and Olympic style Taekwondo to the people of South East London. We have an extremely diverse membership consisting of men and women from the age of 3 to 80 and a wide level skill set from beginner to expert.

Welcome!

We are a welcoming class teaching the traditional Korean martial-art of Taekwondo. Our classes are taught by former National Champions: Master Kuzey Akses & Terry Cooper and are suited to ALL ages (from 3+) ALL abilities – so do not be put off if you have never tried a martial-art before!

The Instructors

With 70 years of experience altogether, you can’t be in better hands learning and practising Taekwondo.

Classes

From our very youngest three years old to the seniors, we help you stay fit, mentally & physically balanced, and safe.

Frequently asked questions

Are your instructors qualified?
All of our instructors are registered to teach under the National Governing Body (British Taekwondo). Our instructors are also qualified to perform first-aid and are fully DBS (formally CRB)approved.
What do I wear?
For the first few lessons you can wear jogging bottoms and a loose fitting T-shirt. Taekwondo training is performed in bare feet so students are asked to remove their shoes before the lesson begins.

Yes of course, the first lesson is free to try for new members. There’s no need to book, simply pop along to one of our classes.
Do I need insurance?
For health and safety reasons, insurance is required to participate in Taekwondo and needs to be renewed annually.

What our members say

My son loves this Taekwondo school, always looks forward to going weekly and learning new techniques. The instructors are very good, friendly and good with the children, they know each child and their abilities. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic family friendly club. The only club that enables my son and I to train at the same time which means I do not have to arrange childcare to attend. Thank you Aquila!
